The Bronx Is Stronger When We Build Together
To our neighbors throughout Butler Houses, Webster Avenue and the Claremont section, as well as the surrounding Bronx community: this work belongs to all of us.
Groomed 4 Greatness Guild Inc. helps youth, justice-impacted individuals and underserved residents develop the discipline, confidence and practical skills needed to move forward. Through workforce readiness, credible mentorship, reentry navigation and career pathways, we connect Bronx residents to opportunities that can create lasting change.
Community in Action: Bringing Resources Closer to Home
On September 14, the Guild and Workforce1 brought community partners, workforce resources and local residents together at 1401 Webster Avenue for a neighborhood activation centered on access and opportunity.
We are grateful to every participating partner and resident who stopped by, asked questions, shared ideas or helped spread the word. Webster Avenue and the Claremont section are filled with talent, leadership and resilience. Our responsibility is to make sure opportunity is just as present.
From Connection to a Practical Next Step
These numbers represent people who raised their hands, explored an opportunity or received something useful. They also show what Bronx-centered partnerships can accomplish when resources reach residents where they are.
September 14 Community Workforce & Resource Pop-Up
Workforce1 career advisors planned follow-up appointments for candidates interested in Individual Training Grant information, helping turn a community introduction into continued career support.
Strong Fathers, Strong Futures
The fatherhood event generated 28 reserved tickets across 23 Eventbrite registrations for a day centered on workforce, wellness and opportunity. Because an onsite sign-in sheet was not collected, these figures reflect registrations rather than verified attendance.
EYDC Champions of Tomorrow Unity Basketball Classic
EYDC and No. 1 Draft Pick also served 105 burgers, sharing food, supplies and support with players as well as children and families in the surrounding community.
Source note: September 14 results and fatherhood-event registration data were shared by Workforce1’s Rahdiah Barnes. EYDC figures come from the 2026 Champions of Tomorrow: From an Idea to Impact report.
